About this vaccine
Hepatitis B is passed on through blood and body fluids — including medical or dental treatment abroad, tattoos and piercings, and contact sports or accidents.
It is commonly considered for people who are:

Schedule
Three doses over six months, or a faster course over 21 days when time is short.
Boosters
A further dose at 12 months after an accelerated course; otherwise reviewed by risk.
A sore arm is the most common effect. Some people feel tired, get a headache or a slight temperature for a day.
Because this is a course, your pharmacist will plan the dates around your departure and make sure you know which dose is due when.
Report a suspected side effect to the MHRA Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk.
