That's your appointment booked
Your ear appointment is booked. Softening drops for a few days beforehand help most people.
What happens next
- Come to the clinic a few minutes before your time.
- The pharmacist looks in both ears with an otoscope and tells you what they can see.
- If microsuction is suitable, the wax is removed there and then. If it can't all be removed, they explain what to do next.
What to bring
- Details of any ear surgery, a perforated eardrum or ongoing ear problems
- Any ear drops you have been using
- Your hearing aids, if you wear them
